Congenital heart disease are the abnormalities of heart and great vessel due to defective development in the prenatal period.

CLASSIFICATION:

A) ACYNOTIC 

ACYNOTIC WITH LEFT TO RIGHT SHUNT

Common complete atrioventricular canal

Ventricular septal defect

Atrial septal defect

Patent ductus arteriosus

ACYNOTIC WITHOUT SHUNT

Endocardial cushion defect

Pulmonary stenosis

Aortic stenosis

Coarctation of aorta


B) CYANOTIC

Persistent truncus arteriosus

Ebstein anomaly with right to left shunt

Tetralogy of fallot

Common atrium
